The mass demonstration called by Blue party is held Sunday , ( 04/28/2014) in
Addis. The demonstrators have aired their protest on the service problems of the
telecommunication, water and electric power services. The demonstration that started from Abuare area of Addis through British
Embassy ended at the Demberwa hospital. The demonstrators have also asked for
the release of the alleged political prisoners.

As Jewish people around the world marked the festival of Passover, thousands
of Jews living in northern Ethiopia, did not have much to celebrate.
Many have been left disappointed by an Israeli government decision to end a
30-year-old programme that saw tens thousands of Ethiopian Jews airlifted to
the Holy Land. And many families are grappling with being separated from their loved ones, as Focus on Africa's Emmanuel Igunza found out in the north-western city of Gondar. Source ( BBC)

Police investigating shooting death in south St. Louis

St. Louis police are searching for
the gunman who shot and killed a father fixing up his home for his family. It
happened around 4:00am Saturday at a south St. Louis home on Holly Hills Avenue
and Alabama. Ibsa Alemu, 29,was killed while inside his home after a bullet
went through a glass window near his front door. The African immigrant was
renovating the home for his wife and young daughter.
