First Locally Assembled City bus Displayed for Show

Addis Ababa, October 31, 2010 (Addis Ababa) - A city passenger bus named after Ahadu which was assembled by a local private limited company called Holland Car was displayed for show here on Saturday. The passenger bus was displayed for show in the city’s major streets and along Sheraton Addis Road. The city bus is believed to ease transportation problem in which the city has been facing. At an event marking the inaugural of the city bus, Holland Car General Manager, Engineer Tadesse Tesema said the prevalence of conducive investment atmosphere has enable for today's fruitful results. The assembling of the city bus will have a significant contribution in saving the badly needed hard currency which is spent on the import of city buses while it would alleviate transportation problem. Government officials and Deputy Speaker of the federal parliament as well as invited guest attended the event. Source ( ENA)
