Ethiopia and coffee are almost synonymous. Coffee is the nation principal export. A commodities exchange run by the Ethiopian government and supported by the World Bank is helping protect about 12 million small-scale farmers from exploitation.
Prices agreed on the trading floor are transmitted round the world and the farmer is guaranteed payment within 24 hours. Watch the following video from BBC .
